Filmed in HD on a Sony 900.
We went to Brazil to film a promo for a series that we were co-producing with a brazilian production company.
Things started to get confusing in the post stage as we were promised an avid suite which turned out to be a bit of a dinosaur, plus it didn't have any room for all our HD footage; I had to transfer everything from 24fps to dv pal, off line it on my laptop then online it at 30fps. Very messy!!!
I had one day for edit and post. We worked 30 hours straight, just in time to make the flight back home to London.
Lesson in a foreign country: Always trust your instincts!!!
It was graded by Sergio Pasqualino JR, who did "City of God". A true master!

I am doing this reality/documentary film for my friend who also has a martial art school.
We've been thinking to do an educational show also about the martial art....
you can check the trailer though.
so you guys edit this with Avid DS?
Thanks
Like to see your vid.
Thanks. The reason we filmed it in Brazil was because we are co-producing the program with a Brazilian production company. Sao Paolo also has a huge japanese and chinese community as well as temples and interesting locations sparing us costly air tickets to Japan and China
See you
Jean
I really like this video along with the editing and music. I keep coming back to it. Could you tell me what the name of the drum music is from 1:00 to 1:45?
Christopher.
Thanks for your comment. Re the music, I have no idea!! Sorry!! I did this a couple of years ago and I haven't a clue which cd it was. It was a music library track. If i manage to find the project, I will open it up and see if I reported it on there.
Cheers
