You can do it Beth! Your an inspiration and thanks for sharing. Keep posting if you can, I'd love to see your triumphant return to the rock. Dig deep.

This made me teary. I don't know if it was you, or me imagining what it would be like if it were me. Either way, it also made me go and do my rotator cuff exercies! Keep plugging away as we all know you will. Best wishes, Lee.

Hey BETH! Keep pushing hard in PT. I bet you're a lot further along now in therapy then in that video. When is your next video post coming? Have you gotten to 150 degrees of shoulder flexion yet! Hope your spirit is feeling more and more alive as you regain your motion, strength and peace of mind!

    God bless!

Hey Beth - I am facing labrum surgery myself, your videos have been very helpful! I am working on getting as strong as possible pre-surgery. Keep up the good work and looking forward to seeing the first video of you back on the rock!!! Mine won't be for a little while...

I'm sure I climb way "differently" than Beth but FWIW... I looked for other climbers' shoulder stories when I was going thru this so perhaps this'll give someone else a lift. YMMV, of course.

I had a SLAP I repair in Jan 07, then led super easy sport & trad (6ish) routes in April of the same year (PT at home every day & 3x/wk in-office in b/t).

I totally remember having a hard time in the month or so after surgery - crying thinking I'd never *really* climb again & wincing w/ the string pulling thingy in PT. It took a while for me to trust the shoulder but now, if I didn't have surgery pictures, I wouldn't even think that I had any kind of surgery....

Heyya Beth! Hope your shoulder is well on the mend!
Thanks for posting this video.. just found out I have a tear too and am debating surgery. From the 'before' side it seems like the surgery will make my life stand still. It's a little frightening... but now i know what I'll get to play with in Physio if I get the surgery! :)
