Just before Courtney Barnett and her band The Courtney Barnetts hopped into a BIG OL' JET PLANE to CONQUER the WORLD, they had one last pitstop to play in the sunshine as part of the St Kilda Festival. Here is "Are You Looking After Yourself" from their EPIC EP from last year, "I've Got A Friend Called Emily Ferris". So long neighbour and have a safe and successful trip. Just like the lyric from this song, "Man, you’re doing well". :)

Courtney Barnett - Are You Looking After Yourself
______________________________________

Are you working hard my darling, we’re so worried,
always thinking of you and we just want you to be so happy, keep on going.

I don’t want no 9 to 5, telling me that I’m alive and ‘Man, you’re doing well!’

Have you got some money saved up for those rainy days?
You should start some sort of trust fund just incase you fail

My friends play in bands, they are better than everything on radio.

Did you see that special on TV the other eve?

No my TV, it stopped working when we got here (it’s been four years)

Are you eating? You sound so thin.

I don’t know what I was thinking, I should get a job
I don’t know what I was drinking, I should get a dog
Should get married, have some babies, watch the evening news.

St Kilda Festival is Australia's largest street party!

The country’s largest annual music festival, St Kilda Festival, has today unveiled its complete, jam-packed nine-day program for 2014, where more than 50 venues will play host to over 150 artists from Saturday 1st to Sunday 9th February 2014.

The Festival’s nine-day program will wrap up on the Sunday with the iconic Festival Sunday, where the sunset time slot will see Art Vs Science perform on the Main Stage, while King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard plays adjacent on the O’Donnell Gardens Stage and Bob Evans takes on the Alfred Square Stage.

The Main Stage will also host performances from soul and funk group The Bamboos, Mat McHugh from The Beautiful Girls, melodic duo Busby Marou, St Kilda local and Australian luminary Renee Geyer, indie-rock band Kingswood and emerging artist Shaun Kirk (winner of the New Music Stage competition in 2013).

This year the Live N Local program that celebrates home-grown music acts, will expand to South Melbourne and Port Melbourne. Held from Sunday 2nd to Saturday 8th February, Live N Local will see venues, retailers and restaurants open their doors to emerging local talent with more than 72 gigs across 32 venues.

If the long list of musical acts isn’t enough to draw you in, the 34th St Kilda Festival will also feature a vast range of other activities and events, ranging from the Victorian Open Beach Volleyball Championship to family activities in the Kidzone and a full day of action in the Dancezone.

The 34th St. Kilda Festival is set to open with Yalukit Wilum Ngargee: People Place Gathering, taking place in O’Donnell Gardens on Saturday, 1st February, boasting a range of local artists including Yirrmal and the Yolngu Boys, Crystal Mercy and singer-songwriter Benny Walker.
