My first test of both Canon C100 and Zoom H2n.

Lenses used:
Sigma 30mm 1,4
Tokina 11-16 2,8
Tamron 70-300 VC 4,0-5,6

The light turned out perfect for this kind of test. I had the opportunity to challenge the C100 with contrasting scenes, shoot straight into sun-lit streets, reflections in wet cobbles and check how much detail is preserved in the shadows. For the first shoot, without knowing the intricacies of the camcorder, I have to admit I am quite impressed. I wish I had taken my 60d to shoot exactly the same with same lenses for comparison. Still, I know it from experience that C100 beats it hands down as regards sharpness, detail, colour rendering, DR. And only 24 mbps - amazing!

I shot in 24p mode, used the wide dynamic range picture profile, ISO mostly at 850, ND filters between x2 and x6 depending on the shot. Speed-graded all footage in Sony Vegas 11 and added slight sharpening. Still have to learn how to use zebras properly for correct exposure and how to adjust it in post, but I like the start.

Natural sound recorded with Zoom h2n with the MS mic mode, nothing is synced, footage was randomly edited onto the audio.
