DISCLAIMER: This video is meant to be a joke for my coffee industry friends. If you were to actually try this, it would taste nasty and probably make you sick.

Great tips in there! Handsorting could've been more thorough though.

Its a little hard to tell from the video, but "The Good Stuff" includes pulped natural coffee in parchment and some green coffee...really brings out the nuances of the origin.

I hardly think this video is taking coffee seriously enough, I saw no mention of what time of year the coffee bean tree was planted, nor did I see any mention of virgins picking the beans by moonlight, we all know u cant have good coffee without that crucial part!

Some other tips for a better cup ...

    1. Coffee cups made from the bones of railroad workers from the turn of the century (less heat lose when the coffee is poured in).

    2. A splash of urine or ammonia with a dash of salt, this pulls the heavy metals and mercury out of the coffee bean, it also removes all the nicotine from the bean.

    3. Bamboo stir-stick from a tree gnawed on by a panda, hello! thats coffee making 101 here folks!

    4. Not once in the hand sorting did I see the removal of any rat feces, we all know 25% of all coffee beans are rat droppings.

    5. Was that European mountain rainwater you used? if not I would spit that swill in your face!

    6. Women shouldnt be exposed to coffee while its brewing, the chemical scent can cause instant impregnation, very annoying and difficult to explain to parents.

    7. Little known fact, coffee was originally created as a liquid to fill waterbeds, after a few leaks people realized it tasted good.

    Did I miss anything?

What?! No mention of having the beans pass through the digestive tract of a civet? Other than that, these are some great tips for the coffee brewing neophyte. I have my water spout height on a servo controlled track that auto adjusts based on atmospheric humidity :)

  • WOW!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Nice job Ben! Truly remarkable! I don't know if this is how you meant it, but I took it as a great way for us, as baristas, and coffee lovers, to poke fun at ourselves... Hats off to you, sir!

LOL! In Java, we use a small animal (luwak) to help with the sorting process. See this link:
