A Flock of Walls is a large-scale multimedia experience designed by STEREOBOT for MOCA’s A NEW SCULPTURALISM exhibition. For the installation STEROBOT created four multimedia theaters featuring the work of thirty-eight major and emerging practices in contemporary Los Angeles. Each theater consists of a FLOWWALL element suspended 20 feet above ground and featuring rich video 3d mapped over the curving displays as well as a dynamic sound installation by Anthony Byrnes presenting the voices of each practice.
A NEW SCULPTURALISM is part of Pacific Standard Time Presents: Modern Architecture in L.A. Major support for the exhibition has been provided by the Getty Foundation and The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation. Generous support is provided by the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts.
