'Drop' is a live electro-acoustic piece composed with the sights and sounds of dripping water. Taking a page from Hugh LeCaine's 'Dripsody,' this original work creates all of its sounds using dripping water as its source.
The drips and drops are used to create resynthesized versions of all the different sounds water makes. Leaking pipes, ocean waves, crackling ice and pounding rain are all explored by manipulating the sound of the drips on stage.
The projected colors and dancing movement fill the performance space with the rippling sight of water. The visuals work in tandem with the sounds, with both created and changed in real time.
