BSKL Primary Chinese New Year Celebration – the Year of the Horse! The children and staff recently welcomed in the - Year of the Horse! The students celebrated Chinese New Year by doing plum tree art, Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting, clay modeling as well as making Chinese new year wishing cards. These wishing cards were written by our children and sent to our friends at our sister school - The British School of Nanjing, China. The activities were very well combined with the absolutely fabulous Chinese New Year assembly! The musical show, entitled “Home”, involved more than 200 children from Reception to Year 6. Our actors performed extremely well – speaking with confidence and maturity. The performance was supported beautifully by 2 groups of narrators and a wonderful effort by the choir.

The performance was a huge effort from our children but special mention must go to the dedicated Music department for their support and of course to the Primary Chinese Department who in 3 weeks transformed our stage into a wonderful story of “travelling home” to be with family for Chinese New Year. Gong Xi Fa Cai!
