Rachel Tunick received her Ph.D. in child clinical psychology from the University of Denver, with a specialization in developmental cognitive neuroscience. She is a staff psychologist at Children’s Hospital Boston, specializing in child, adolescent, and pediatric psychology, and maintains an academic appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. This presentation includes Dr. Tunick describing her experience with social media as a therapist working with children and adolescents. She presents interesting case scenarios involving social media use, and links them to theory and research on cognitive, psychological, and ethical issues impacting patients, families, and care providers.
