Yet another 5D mk3 Magic Lantern test.
I just received the Komputerbay 1050x 128gb CF card.
Now I can shoot HD1920.

I hope this week there will be good outdoor conditions to further test the cinemaDNG produced by ML.

The RAW file is converted using RawMAGIC, then the DNG's are imported to DaVinci Resolve.
In Resolve I flatten the clip by using the BMC profile and check preserve highlights.
Then I try to mimic the native h.264 MOV (marvel cinestyle).
Clips are then Exported in ProRes 422HQ and imported to FCPX.

You can obviously see the difference, but using the RGB channel you can really see how much more information there is in the raw material...

Used:
Canon 5DMK3
85mm f/1.8
Komputerbay 128gb 1050x CF card
Magic Lantern
RawMagic
DaVinci Resolve
