One of three videos exploring the recontextualization of film as public archive for artistic purposes.
Through this reuse and reduction, other associations and actions emerge which deviate from their original [more narrative] context.
It is the point of departure from this narrative, and the new connections which emerge, that I am interested in exploring as an artist.

[note about using film in the work]:
Film is a form or public archive. It is a discursive space where public and private reside. Unlike a live feed or steaming video, film is unique because it documents a variety of organized performance actions which relate to a specific narrative. Because of the productional manner in which films are commercially created, they always reflect the socio-historic past of the director's gaze.
