As a climber I tend to bite off more than I can chew. The numbers get bigger but the rate of failure stays high. Of course I could just try easier things, but every now and then something actually gets done... all the better for having spent months of training, hours of driving and multiple trips where I've left empty handed.
For me at least, what defines a trip is what you haven't done, rather than what you have... The 'glass half empty' school of bouldering!
So I decided to mix a couple of my failures in with the sends.
orejas de las regletas 8A: This is the third trip I've tried this one. All the moves have gone, I've fired the crux to the top, but just can't seem to link. Also, the undercut crimp gives me blood blisters after about an hour
La fuente 7C: very technical and doesn't suit me, tried countless times, but this trip was the first I even stuck the second hold! I feel embarrassed at not being able to link a 4 mover, despite having done all the moves. next time...
