What started out as a very simple and great idea initiated by Malcolm Roberts and his team at Corktown Seed Co. turned into a national integrated social media live event and online community campaign, orchestrated and produced by me and a great supporting cast.
On Sept 19th in Toronto something special happened and with the help of Steve Ferrara of Well and Good, artists Chor Boogie, Siolete, Mediah, Elicser, a film crew, a community manager a few savvy developers and before you knew it we had thousands of Canadians chatting, posting, commenting and participating in our national campaign.
The results were outstanding and included more earned media than the United Church of Canada ever experienced, incredible online engagement, community building on the ground not just online and a rally from people of all ages to bring conversations back to the streets about faith and spirituality and for wondercafe.ca it drove the web site stats and engagement beyond performance levels it had ever experienced.
The campaign delivered metrics and analytic data that was utilized by the client, the outcomes out delivered on the ROI and the campaign continued across the country.
This was a real world example of when information technology, marketing and media converge and work in harmony to deliver the best and most cost effective results.
