I stopped by the patrol shack at the top of Rendezvous Mountain one day in 2006 to film a few stories about Corbets Couloir. Wally was in good form, adding his warmth and wit to a few classic tales. This is the way I will always remember him, animated, with a sparkle in his eye, sharing his love of the mountains and of his mountain people.
