Yes, there were volcanoes on Bornholm: At Gule Hald, situated 300 metres east of Listed harbour, close to Svaneke, there are visible "footprints" of volcanoes on Bornholm. The socalled Listed corridor is a 5.5 kms long and 30 metre wide rift in the 1400 mio. year old Svanekegranite. This rift was filled with diabase for about 800-1000 mio. years and was formed at a time, when Bornholm was part of a bigger continent, located about 30° south of the equator. The whole area at Gule Hald is crossed by younger rifts, that are filled with sandstone. Date of production: February 14-19, 2014. Filmed with an EOS 500D, HD 720p, 30fps. A demato production, under CC BY-NC-SA 3.0.
