Two soundtracks that are not done yet will run underneath this scene - one the plantation Master's screams as he dies a painful death; the other the sound of a whip and the screams of Blue as her husband the Master's son, distraught with grief, beats her to death. Elizabeth, the elderly slave who is the housekeeper and the mammy of Missy, the Master's wife, guards the door because she believes the Master's son will come in and attack the women inside the house once Blue is dead. LaLi, the slave who is his mother is overwhelmed by all the horror.
The Blue Lady is a story is about what happened the night Master died and the relationship between LaLi, Elizabeth and Missy, and how three people with a blood connection wound up dead in the space of four days, at least one of them, Blue, murdered, and how guilt was assigned that night without anyone taking responsibility.
