Winter 14/15 will mark Jiberish's first foray into the world of technical outerwear. As a brand based at the foot of the Rocky Mountains and with our deep roots within the snowsports world it may be surprising that we waited 9 years before taking this seemingly natural step. But as a brand we have always focused on making products for people who wanted something more than what was widely available in the marketplace.

Technical outerwear is a saturated market with hundreds of companies producing products that speak to a large segment of the consumer base. But there is a growing group of discerning customers out there who want something more than what is currently available. These are people who are more interested in the aesthetic landscape of street fashion. They are people who are focused on the cut and fit of a garment as well as the look and feel of the highest quality fabrics. They prefer a darker, more subdued color palate with no logos or branded patches. For this consumer being able to translate their personal style from the city to mountains has always been impossible.

For the last 18 months we have combined our life in the city and our experience in the mountains to create products that spoke to both of those worlds. Countless prototypes have been developed, sampled, and tested throughout the process. The results speak for themselves. With Swiss Schoeller and Japanese fabrics, taped seam sealed construction, and waterproof/breathable ratings of up to 20k mm these pieces can be worn on the slopes or the streets, over a hoodie or layered with a sport coat. The Jiberish Grand Cru Outerwear Collection is the summit of function and fashion.

You will find these pieces at all three Jiberish boutiques and at the world's finest street fashion and snowsports retailers starting in October 2014.
