Beautiful everything - images, editing, music and overhaul feeling. I am glad to watch a movie of a journey - not a basic tourist trip.
Did you have 6To of external hard drives with you? :D

  • Perfect & Beautiful. A quick Question: How did you manage to maintain such great focus so often? Especially on moving subjects. I have a 5D Mark II and whenever I try to shoot anything remotely moving, I seem to lose focus a lot and can't adjust mid video quick enough. Am I using too small an aperture usually, resulting in too small a focal "sweet spot?" What settings were you mostly on, if you don't mind? Thanks so much!
  • ivan vania plus 1 year ago
i manage making a lot of takes, only the best are in final edit...i don't remember what settings i used on camera , but the aperture was 2.8 in a lot of shots
    all the best

Absolutely stunning! The rain scene at the ancient ruins had really beautiful colours and texture, evening/night shots, well am always a sucker for those ones. The photographs was a really nice touch, it showed life/history and it flowed with the music. And the last shot... amazing bright, vivid colours, which portray asia as colourful, bright and lush.

    Amazing work,

    Dmitri

How well did the 5D2+lens handle under these conditions?
(rain, dust, moisture, etc) Any worries?
  • ivan vania plus 1 year ago
no worries, only a little bit of rain...but i think is tropicalized...

This is amazing. Best travel video that I've ever seen. I loved the narrative, i followed it the whole way through until the end when it skipped from Saigon to the nap house in Sihanoukville which was kinda confusing. Nice work though, seriously.
