This project is a commentary on consumerism within surf culture and the overall idea of a "disposable board". a disposable board is one that is used for a very short time and is discarded and a new one is used. This is very wasteful. And very anti-eco, it is injecting useless foam and fiberglass into the landfills and environment. I choose to use the most pure form of surfcraft, a planed down log. I drove up to stoney point on lake superior and surfed it. This project for me was also a reconnection to the roots of surfing.
