Slow Healing is a multimedia documentary tracing the return of four soldiers from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan who sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) during combat. Each story is unique, though remain unified through their shared aftermath experience of the long and tragic journey back home. The unpredictable rhythm set by the lingering effects of TBI provides the context to regain independence. Recovery begins at home, often behind closed doors. Changes are delayed. Adjustment is slow.
