1. VO1HAX's Christmas Display - Light-O-Rama
2 years ago
Please Read This Before You Ask Questions! This is one of my sequences for my 2009 Christmas display. I will try and briefly leave as much information as I can below and then detailed information below that:

Song: We Wish You A Merry Christmas - Relient K (Copyright By WMG wmg.com/)
Channels: 32 (1 used for sign, so only 31 were available for X-Mas lights
Controllers: Light-O-Rama CTB16PC (lightorama.com)
Light Count: Just Over 3,000 or 4,000 (I'm going to have to double check that)
Peak Power: 1.5kW (About The Same Amount As A Portable Heater)
FM Transmitter: Decade FM-850 Tuned To 98.3 FM
Cost Of Electricity: Somewhere Around $10-$15 or less (Believe It Or Not)
Why? Why not!

How Do You Control The Lights? - I used hardware and software purchased from Light-O-Rama (lightorama.com)
Don't Your Neighbors Get Annoyed With The Lights, Music, And Traffic? - Actually, I have not had any complaints!
How do people hear the music? We have both an FM transmitter that enables drivers to tune in and listen to the music in their vehicle as well as speakers outside that allow anyone walking by to listen as well.
Don't YOU Get Annoyed With The Lights, Music, And Traffic? Lights, no; traffic, no; music, yes! To be honest, I haven't actually took the time to watch my own display for enjoyment, only for testing. After listening to the same songs for a month though...you can't help but get sick of them!
