Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk says he is concerned that raising Minnesota's minimum wage to $9.50 an hour as many unions would like, could hurt small businesses ability to compete with "big box" stores. Bakk says he would like to see a lower minimum wage for small businesses and the definition of what qualifies as a small business needs to be hammered out. But he still anticipates that he will vote yes for a minimum wage increase.
