32. Franz Ippisch (1883-1958): Moderato for oboe and piano
2 years ago
Franz Ippisch, born 1883 in Vienna, was a well known cellist (Volksoper), composer, conductor (Salzburg) cello- and theory-teacher. In 1938, under the Nazi-Regime in Austria, he lost his permission to work and fled 1939 to Guatemala. Although 56 years old, when he arrived, he could continue his career, became chief-conductor of all Guatemalan military bands as well as conductor of the students orchestra of the Conservatorio Nacional de Guatemala. He had a significant influence on musicians and students of that time. -
(I feel sorry for the piano-sound).
