...or "an ode to wind turbines."

Less eye candy and more contemplation/hypnosis in this one. More abstract also.

Can you actually see it? I get the Vimeo logo going around and around...no actual movie.

Nevermind, my flash plugin was messed up. I reinstalled and now it's fine.

You never cease to amaze me! Something so simple brought about through some imagination to convey the sense on the perpetual rhythm of motion.

    The scratchy effects were brilliant.

Were you going for a less saturated/vivid look?
  • Steven Dempsey 2 years ago
Not necessarily but there's only so much color you can squeeze out of a bleak landscape on an overcast day. Besides, I think it suits the mood.

    I agree!

Wow, that is such an amazing tone picture. Gorgeous work Steven. I hope you can shoot the turbines down by Palm Springs sometime.

You continue to amaze me! I ordered your DVD just to watch and learn . . . well not entirely . . . I find your moving images of nature's beauty most engaging. As John Calvin put it, "Creation is the theater of God's glory." And you have captured some of it in a most delightful way. Now you have helped us see the beauty in some technologies!

Wow Daniel, that's very nice of you to say and it moves me deeply when I know I can share what I feel while I am shooting. I sent your DVD out...hope you enjoy it.

Wow, I really love the colors. I wish it would get that overcast here in Arizona...

Your work is so inspiring. I recently upgraded the XH-A1, a good portion of the decision was based on the great footage you've created with it.

What were your XH-A1 settings like on this one?
