Why hasn't Apple fixed this? It is annoying putting my mac to sleep or whatever and go away only to come back, hit play, and the timeline plays the audio fine but 3-5 frames keep playing over and over over again. Makes great trippy hippy effects and all that but then I have to restart the app.

It isn't that big a deal to restart the app BUT I shouldn't have to. And this didn't happen before I updated FCP.

Oh and this video is being used to test Flickr vs. Vimeo compression quality.

I have no idea. I still have to look up the FCP problem on the Apple forums. I have a 2nd confirmation of this happening from a friend that used FCP 6 on a G5.

Like I mentioned, it isn't that big a deal as it doesn't kill the project or file itself but it does ruin your flow. Say if you were on a role and then all of a sudden this happens - it is just a little annoying.

i thought i was the only one to have this happen... but on my powerbook, it's not when it goes to sleep, but rather if i unplug an external monitor... it's like it tweeks the ability of fcp to read from my ext h.d. and i have to close/reopen.

but with your situation it actually looks pretty cool. lucky you.

i say run with it. its definately an interesting effect. works with the music as well. sometimes mistakes are the best part of the creation process. although i want to kill my computer when it glitches and kills my art.
