Easy step by step instructions for cooking whole grain sorghum. Sorghum is an ancient grain that is high in fiber and a good source of protein. It's a wonderful gluten free substitute for pearl couscous and an interesting substitute for brown rice.

How to Cook Sorghum:

Rinse 1 cup sorghum grain. Place in a pot with 3 cups water or stock. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer until tender, 50--60 minutes. Drain excess liquid. Makes 4 servings (about 2 ½ cups).
