Well, I was making 8mm and Super 8 Movies back in the 60s as a teen and I can tell you that's exactly what Kodachrome film looked like projected onto a screen.

Processing by Kodak (sounds like "codec," doesn't it?) looked better and brighter than when done by drug store-type labs. I always thought Kodak withheld something from the chemical processing recipe they gave their competitors to keep the edge. This vid has that kind of interesting "look" to it for me. cool.

More likely temperature conditions, chemistry and so on were better controlled at the Kodak-affiliate labs than they were in the budget, fast-turning drugstore labs. Quality control on processing could make a huge difference in how the processing went.

And I agree, the color look IS very similar to my memories of Super 8mm.
