DANCING IN THE STREET
When: Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 4pm PST
Timing & Location:
3:30 - Arrive at Dance Location
DANCE LOCATION: Robson Street, between Bute and Thurlow Streets (please keep the dance on the street and off of the sidewalks to allow for pedestrian traffic).
The street is closed to vehicles and we need to leave the sidewalks clear to any pedestrians who are not involved in the dance.
3:45 - Get in place. Make sure you are facing East (towards Thurlow St.)
(If you feel like you know the dance like the back of your hand and are super confident, please set yourself up along the perimeter of the dance boundaries so that the people inside will super confident dancers to watch and follow)
4:00 - Martha and the Vandella's begin to sing "Dancing in the Street" and the moment we've been waiting for has finally arrived!
It's now time to perform the choreography we've been practicing to perfection for the last few weeks.
Show the world that Vancouver rocks!
When the music fades out, resist the desire to cheer and just WALK AWAY!
(Let's be extremely respectful to pedestrians, police, security and other foot traffic and make sure we disperse in a peaceful and timely fashion)

(We're offering the imagine1day headquarters as a meeting place so that we can move safely AND on time to the downtown dance location as a group)
For people heading downtown on their own: we'll see you there!
12:00PM - Arrive at imagine1day (where the rehearsals were held at the imagine1day head office on 2-2108 W. 4th Ave, Vancouver BC) between 12PM and 1PM PST.
1:00PM - Depart imagine1day office to head to dance location
SPECIAL NOTE: For those of you who absolutely cannot meet at imagine1day, please make sure you are at, or near the dance location (on ROBSON between BUTE & THURLOW by 3:30PM. Just mingle and look non-desrcript!)
