While in Venice, we had a guide whose accent was incredibly thick and lulling. It's amazing how she would speak for extended periods of time but only a few words would come out. The words came out so slowly, each syllable extended and rotated and stretched out in every way imaginable, that at the end of a minute she had only said a few sentences.
