On February 8th the CCA street fair was held at Canyon Crest Academy from 10pm to 4pm. The fair was mainly held to support the schools clubs but was also helpful to local Carmel Valley businesses that wanted to get noticed. It was a great community event with local vendors, gently used items, food trucks, and more!

This family event was a great way to support local businesses in the community as well as Canyon Crest Academy, while having a great time and getting to know your neighbors. With free admission, people of all ages were welcome to come and enjoy the delicious food, fun festivities, and a few carnival like games. Meanwhile school clubs are being supported by selling any items of their choice.

Canyon Crest Academy is a great school in Carmel Valley that greatly supports the arts as well as sports. They offer the envision program which include day classes as well as after school conservatories to students. The Envision Conservatory is an extended day program that is available on an audition/interview basis only. Each term, students participate in 90 hours of intensive discipline-specific work and about 15 hours of inter-disciplinary exploration. The Conservatory is designed to challenge CCA students at the highest possible artistic levels. Students will enjoy many guest artists with expertise in their areas of study, Peers that have made similar commitments to artistic excellence, and Performances and presentations of work that will show the very best of what young artists can accomplish.

CCA students follow a four by four block schedule. Students take up to four, ninety-minute classes per day, five days per week, in each eighteen week Fall and Spring term. On this accelerated system, every term long class is the equivalent of a traditional two semester, yearlong class and students earn two final grades per class each term. Students who take eight classes can earn up to 80 credits in a year.
