The Sufi Saint Hazrat Bu Ali Shah Qalandar of Persia, a great admirer or Mevlana Rumi, traveled the Muslim world and finally settled in Sehwan, Sindh. The following well reknown s Persian verses show his love for Hazrat Ali, and are engraved on his shrine:

"Haiderium Qalandram Mastam
Banda-e-Murtaza Ali Hastam
Peshwa-e-tamam Rindanam
Ke Sag-e-Koo-e-Sher-e-Yazdanam!"

Trans:

I am Haideri, Mast Qalandar
I am a servant of Ali Murtaza
I am leader of all saints
Because I am the faithful dog of the lane of "Allah's Lion"
