This animation is based on a poem called "The Garden Inside Me" by Joanna Hooper. The poem helped me envision how a life of a slave would feel connected with visual elements such as the dead garden. The metaphor of a garden is important to me because you can see how the spring of life can take the place of death and can be renewed. There is hope for the 27 million still being held captive in the fight against human trafficking.
