Cool, I have a Canon HD camcorder, too! Your XH-A1 obviously gives very detailed images. From what I understand, this camera gives you manual control over nearly every aspect of your video. Is it difficult to learn, coming from a completely different camera?

On a random note, I think you may have the same tripod that I use. Of course, I can't really be sure about that, since all tripods look pretty much the same, but I immediately thought of mine when I saw that one, for some reason. Maybe I'm just over observant.

When I saw this video my reaction was somewhat like..."Damn!!" And then when Sparta is cocking his head to the side it was more like "hahaha, Sparta." He is so adorable!!! My cat Bloo isn't that playful though. He'd rather sit in my lap and go to sleep or lay on my arm to prevent me from typing. I can't wait to see him I miss him so much... : (

I remember I found out about smpfilms because I was searching up DCR VX-2100 on YouTube because I was going to purchase one, which I eventually did. So yeah your awesome, your videos are awesome, and Sparta is awesome.

The quality on that video was *amazing.*
Like, normally when you put the vid on full-screen it looks like crap, but I think it actually looked even better! :) Not to mention, the sound was incredible.

Yeah, i was pretty sure too that i had the same tripod as you in the video :P but what program do you use to edit your videos, or encoding?

This should be an interesting medium, there seems to be many but the ability to implement high definition is a wonderful thing. Lately been exploring additional options such as:

and a host of others. I won't go into them now. Thus far this seems to be the best of the group.

Lighting, do you still use holegen work lamps? I've seen more people lately using them. In the beginning of this video I noticed some shadowing that would suggest you were using some extra light.

Shed some light on the topic? lol. I was wondering if you could do some low light projects in the near future with this camera. Quite interested.

This cat seems to know how to play with the camera (on the portrait sequence)he is very expressive and play the star!

Cory, your video looks incredible here on Vimeo! I've been checking this website out for a while now and it seems really cool. There is a great community here that really enjoys quality film making. Kind of like YouTube back in the day, before it became over-run with viral shock videos and commercialism.

I have my own mean Kitty, and I mean looks and acts exactly like your mean kitty. He actually love sitting at the computer and watching his twin. Can't wait for more episodes!!!

New HD camera? You should consider makeup artists if you haven't already, but I'm not saying anyone wouldn't forgive you for a bad hair day or such in HD, but it would give your videos an extra edge.

Btw, what is the retail price on your camera? Me and some friends are considering making more professional videos, and an HD camera (or something of the sort) would do us wonders.
