Charles Darwin: A Genius in the Heart of London, part 1 Saved by a Soho Barber tells the story of how Charles Darwin developed his ideas of natural selection during a chance meeting with a barber, William Willis, who happened to be a pedigree dog breeder.

The film was animated and designed by children from Soho Parish Primary School, Bexleyheath Central Library Animation Summer School and Action For Children, Westbourne Park.
