Not the usual Vimeo fare - one person with a camera and editing program on their computer. This has got trained actors, props, costumes, outdoor sets and special effects involving animated models and CGi.
But surely the flying saucers was what the Nazis were working towards, not some heavily armed but vunerable lumbering iron spider. Unless they come zooming in next....

We've had steam punk, what genre is this?

    Very impressive!

In the Speculative Fiction writing circles, they'd call this "Diesel Punk".

Ok - What's going on here? Ryan? Vimeo? Is this a bit subtle marketing for a film maker/studio product?

Some big money has been expended here with an expectation of a return on the investment.

Thanks. There was no studio involved with this. It was literally shot in a foxhole we dug in my grandmother's backyard. Not as much money was spent on it as you might think. I built all the those models myself and the costumes were shared amongst actors and I had collected them previously (being somewhat of a WWII buff).

But it IS meant to serve as a presentation for a feature film. Should some studio or financier take interest...

In that case this is an incredible achievement.
    Now about those flying saucers....

I liked the bit where blood splattered on the camera lens....

I am blown away by this shortfilm. The lighting, the acting, and the script. Wow, that script was tight. You kept the humor reigned in and that heightened the reality of the bit. Kudos.
Questions... What camera was this shot on? Can I achieve this level of quality with a DVX100B?

Awesome work. Im a pro compositor during the day, and I loved seeing you use Miniatures. Best of luck. This will defiantly catch some of the eyes you hope to blind.

Amazing job! Remember, James Cameron got his start making films and building miniatures on his own. He quickly got noticed by Roger Corman and after a few years of making B-Movies and learning the craft he ... well, everyone knows James Cameron's story. Maybe you'll be next!

    Great Job.

Although, I was waiting for the Nazi to say: "Their shields will be down in moments, you may start you landing."

    Great job!

Directing, acting, global ambiance is at the level of a feature!
I am less fan of the design of the walking machine and it looks somehow too much like a miniature
For a mechanical vehicle, 3D should work great
Being a fan of deisel punk for some years now, and if you like my work , I would be very happy to do some design for you next movie!
