While walking around Ginza we all got a little hungry and started on a search for some food. As we were trying to locate a decent place to eat a tasty BBQ smell brushed across all our noses. That particular smell is unmistakable: the scent of meat being skewered and thrown on top of a BBQ!
Almost instantly we knew we were standing on top of a yakitori restaurant even though we could not see it right away. Everyone did a quick survey of the immediate are and then all of a sudden, coming from a narrow passageway between two building we located the source of the intoxicating scent.
This little hole in the wall joint is apparently well known in the area and although it was not too busy at the moment we walked in, the place does get very busy during standard eating hours.
We walked in, sat down and ordered up a slew of cheap sticks of meat, some even wrapped in bacon, and a couple beers to wash it all down. Damn that was good food!
