Heaving a 60kg snake into a bubble bath is no easy chore when they "don't wanna".

I know nothing about reptiles but can putting their eyes and mouth into soapy water be good for them? It is certainly unpleasant when a human gets soap in the eyes or mouth so could it be that different for this animal? It isn't something they encounter in the wild.

Since her eyes are not mucus membranes like a mammal's, so soap has the same effect as anywhere else on her body. Her mouth is pretty well closed, and she doesn't make a habit of drinking the bath water, so we're ok on that front. Though, I think if she were to drink a bit of soap, it's so diluted it wouldn't harm her any more than it would us.

    There's always ONE.

    Take your ignorance elsewhere.

What do you have to feed her? Small cats?
  • 8E 1 year ago
If cats didn't require vaccines, they would be a food source, sure. But an animal that needs vaccines poses a dangerous risk to a snake, via contaminated meat, so no - cats are not on the menu. (And a SMALL cat wouldn't even be worth her time!) Now a small GOAT on the other hand...

That snake is many things, but small is not one of them. Wow.

She's very cute though. Does she just... wander around your house all day?

No no, she has her own locked room to chill in. (We've moved since this video was taken, so she got upgraded from cage to bedroom.) She does come out to crawl around quite often though.

OMG, she is drop dead gorgeous! When I had a small collection of pastel ball's we would give them warm baths in tubs before a shed. They loved it! Aaaaaand now I SO want to start a collection again! lol Makes me sad that my ex got them in the divorce. Is she on Rabbit's or chickens?

Thanks! I use to have a collection of Burms, but had to sell off the two males once they became sexually active, as Julius' attitude was less than safe having them around.

She's currently on rabbits, never chickens. Poultry (and swine) gives snakes loose stool, and with an animal her size, it's a real hassle to deal with! Solid poo plz!

By FAR the most beautiful python I've seen. I keep nagging my husband to get one once he's back from deployment (Marine) but he refuses.
