The rural Blue Ridge Mountain town of Floyd, Virginia, uses a flashing light above its only stop light to warn drivers and pedestrians of approaching emergency vehicles but this driver ignored both the light and the siren of an ambulance on a Friday evening. Manged to capture a moment of driver stupidity that, luckily, did not result in an accident. The ambulance driver saw the driver turn into his oncoming path and braked to avoid the chance of a collision. Shot with a Canon 5D MKIII and a 24-70 f:28 Canon lens while filming scenes for an upcoming feature film. The clip also provides a example of the 5D MKIII's low light capability for late night shooting.
