This piece is based on the common yield street sign. A street pole was set into the sidewalk, and one hundred yield signs were fitted on the wall behind it. This installation project was commissioned by Johannesburg Development Agency under its urban upgrade program in the City of Johannesburg (Braamfontein). The aim of the project was to use street art to uplift and improve the city’s alleyways.
Special thanks to the following organizations for supporting this project: Trinity Sessions, The Library and South Point.
The video has been made possible by the contributions from Harold Holscher (editor), Elijah Semosa (director of photography).
