The footing was pretty bad with hard ice at all angles. Felt like a real 8km. Must have been pretty close.

If you make it to near the end of the video... yes, Carl is OK. He is currently icing and recovering. It is just a strained ankle and he will be back to race again!

This is Carl Miiller and Trev Williams.

Hugh Magill was race director.

7.73k according to my Garmin. I like the music, but also that you allowed some natural footfall sounds, gives an indication that you're working hard. Too bad it can't be louder!

It felt like 8k to me. In fact, the second loop felt a little longer than the first (I think we runners stretched it).

Love these videos, Trev! Great footage and fun music to go with it. I posted something of a colour commentary (from my perspective at the back of the pack) to go with it on my blog.

My ankle is already feeling better today. I'll be ready to mount the "SLOW CAM" on my head for Nose Hill and catch all the action at the back of the pack.

Watching Trev's video makes me think the camera was strapped to a scared deer.
