    I've ridden those rails many times; never were those minutes so fascinating as when they were sped to 5 (?) times their speed.

    Thanks, Nora! It's a 10x speedup, actually... although I wish it were only 5x, because that would mean I'd save 10 minutes per day of commute time.

    how'd you keep it so still? did you bring a tripod with you in the train? I don't think I could ever do that on the F, E, 4, or A trains.

    It was hand-held. Keeping it still (or at least, still enough) was literally just me pressing the camera flush against the window with as much of my body weight as possible against it.
