We went here for a wedding, and had a great time. I loved the 52-foot screen in the sports bar, you can see every decent sporting event at any given time all on one screen, and there are comfortable chairs and tasty food available (the Kobe burger was quite good). I also had a particular fascination with the model trains.
The landscaping and design of the place almost has a Disney theme park feel, only the "theme" is the Lone Star State. This is primarily a business hotel, believe it or not, and their least crowded time is the weekend. During the week they are booked solid with men and women on business trips. For those people, visitors to the area, the atmosphere would be even more unique, I assume.
I should also mention that the nightlife here is great. On the property there is a popular club called The Glass Cactus, and apparently Tony Romo, T.O., and some of the other Cowboys players like to hang out there.
