A lighting & Video sculpture by Meno TV, Comissioned by University of Southampton Students' Union.
Unlike most 3D mapping sculptures, the piece has a professionally made aluminium and opal acrylic construction, which breaks down into smaller parts for storage or touring. The unique use of opal acrylic rather than wood or other easy to work with opaque material means that the sculpture can be lit or strobed from behind, thereby revealing the true form of the structure, while 3D video mapping techniques continue to play with false representations of its 3D form.
The smaller Triangle in front of the DJ table is lit from the inside using RGB LEDs which are set up to mimic the RGB values of the main colour appearing in the video.
