1. Alive - Creature Rigging Solution
"Alive" is a full customisable rigging tool that I designed for my own use. The interface is made with Adobe Flash (ActionScript 3.0) and the rigging tool with JScript.
The tool is working on Softimage XSI 7.
Enjoy!

    wow mate, really cool!
your autorig uses the same construction logic that i'm applying to the second version of the autorig that i'm writing :)
  •
  • Hehe, do you have any video? I'd like to see how you resolved it.

not really - i'm still writting that autorig version. the first version's ready but it's not the same "build by pieces" logic. you can check the rig's funcionality though:

very cool, approximately how long did you take to make all of the tools/ui?
  •
  • Hey! It's funny. I just sent an email this morning to Blur studio.
Anyway, from design and reserch to this state it took me around 3 monthes (unfortunatly I can't work on it all the time).

this is brilliant. Please make it available to buy before you get snapped up by a mega corp!

I love the refresh steps while the rig is building. Surely it slows down the build, but seeing each component appear is deluxe!
Your modular templating is sweet. Very good!

very vool, but it work only in 32 bit softimage, on 64 bit, flash don't work 8(
  • I didn't try it on 64 bit yet... But it must have a solution..I guess :)

I'm sorry, but I've struggled with this problem 10 hours, the problem is that in the netview softimage 64 loads websites through Internet Explorer 64, but since we know that for 64-bit browser is not flash player then softimage not be able to open flash. The only solution to the problem, make netview in softimage 64 bit to load sites through IE 32. Either wait until Adobe release a player for 64 bit browsers.

  • Do you have any website with some tips to connect a flash interface to softimage?
  •
  • Hi David,
sorry for the delay. I was so busy I didn't take the time to reply your
    email.
About the flash synoptic, I advice you to have a look at the Jo Plaete
    post about this topic:
