This exhibition represents the Kansas City-based artist’s second solo exhibition at
the gallery as well as the second iteration of his multi-faceted narrative, The Janus
Restraint. This new work in video, animation, photography, and sound continues the
themes of identity fabrication, habitat formation, geological time, and adolescent
mythology set forth in The Janus Restraint: The Ascension, exhibited in spring 2013
at The Studios Inc. in Kansas City.
Portions of the exhibition will feature musical collaborations with Los Angeles-
based VUM, who will perform a special live set at the gallery on the evening of the opening reception.
