Let’s not beat around the bush here – Selasi is a big guy and you’d be forgiven for being intimidated upon first glance. But all that is quickly washed away when that huge smile lights up his face, and that monstrous laugh consumes the space around you.
We remember catching up with Sel when he was done in Melbourne finalising wedding plans – we caught up for coffee and he told us about himself, about Jenna, about the wedding, and about construction of his new baby, BSKT Café. He was excited. It made us excited. We knew this was going to be a fun wedding.
We often tell our couples, all you have to do is have fun on the day, and you’re practically guaranteed a great film and photographs, and that’s exactly what Sel, Jen and their bridal party did. You can see it in this film, you can feel it.
BSKT is all about unique food, culture and healthy living. It turned out to be a fantastic venue for their wedding. Our friends at The Style Co transformed the BSKT car park into a hip location for the couples ceremony and reception. The upstairs Yoga studio became the dance floor, and the children’s playground seemed like a logical choice for the piñata!
It was an emotional ceremony (it’s always the tough guys who cry!) full of family and friends, before we headed off for some portraits with the Bridal party close by. We returned, of course, and celebrated late into the night.
Thanks for having us guys, it was a please to capture it for you.
