    Actually the Canon 7D is not very expensive in relation to a HVX200 or HPX170, when you get better color and just as good if not better picture quality. On top of that you have options with lens, where as any other HD camera, you would have to buy a $2000 adapter in order to have lenses variations. hope that makes your decision a little easier.

    I was thinking about that also. I really like the picture quality with the Canon 7D. It looks really smooth but thanks for the heads up. Helped a lot.
