This Campus Food and Energy Seminar will examine the connections between food and energy systems, with a focus on the institutional level. In this first seminar, Doug Lantagne will speak on the goals of the seminar series and the opportunities for UVM's campus food system to emerge as a model in university food service. Eric Garza will provide a presentation on how food and energy systems interact at local, regional, and global scales. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A discussion session, at which participants will be encouraged to share questions, ideas, and inspirations for sustainability in the UVM food and energy systems.
