The Northern Ethiopian village of Fiyaye is an hour's walk through a desert from the nearest (barely) drivable road. Enveloping a lush valley oasis dense with fruit trees, the community had been drinking, bathing, washing and irrigating their plantation using the same water source: a muddy creek that they also shared with their animals. With the generous support of the Lundin For Africa foundation, imagine1day recently dug a well in Fiyaye, which provides the school children and their families with a clean source of water. Here, join the people of Fiyaye in celebrating a healthier future and prosperous days to come.
