For the Relaunch programme, AVM Curiosities’ The Edible Archive showcased exclusive creations including Monochrome Chocolate Cameos and Edible Lace as part of our series of discursive meals. The invited audience of curators, archivists, conservators and designers spoke about the inherent tensions between the nature of textiles and clothes, displaying them to audiences and preserving them for future generations. The friction between the protective nature of the archive and the carnal aspects of eating was tested as the guests delicately explored the pristine display before eventually consuming it, leaving no trace.

Founded by food historian Tasha Marks in 2011, AVM Curiosities have been exploring the relationship between art, food and history through a series of high-calibre events and edible interventions.
